Class Profile

As students work through the assessment, educators can monitor students’ progress in real time using the class profile.

After logging into Study Smart, go to “MY GROUPS” to view your classes or groups.

Click the “VIEW” link under the Class Profile column.

The view link will open up to the class profile. In the first column you will be able to view each student’s progress and also access their learning plan once it is complete.

Most students should be able to complete the assessment within a total of 75-90 minutes based the schedule you set up for them. But if anyone is falling behind, find out where they are struggling. If it is a technical issue, please contact us at so we can get them back on track as soon as possible.

The outcome from the assessment generates a holistic learning plan which is presented to educators from the voice of the student. It enables the educator to learn more about the student’s interests, academic and learning strengths and needs, learning preferences, motivational type, goals and strategies that may work best for them.

Reviewing Student Learning Plans

After each student completes their learning plan, you can view a detailed copy of the plan and recommended strategies using the class profile.

Log on Study Smart and go to “MY GROUPS” to access your class profiles.

  • OPEN the class profile link, and you will see a summary of your students’ learning plan information. 
  • CLICK the learning plan link of each student to see their details and progress in completing their plan. If some parts of the class profile are blank, the student may still be working on their assessment. 
  • REVIEW the plan. If information is missing or incomplete, a message will appear on the learning plan advising the student to go back and complete that section.

Review of Learning Strategies

Each student will select, on their learning plans, some recommended strategies they may find helpful. You can review these selected strategies to determine which ones you may be able to implement in your instructional sessions with the student. Then you can continue communicating with the student at the end of plan to help them finalize and implement the agreed upon strategies.

You can also suggest students share their learning plan with any teacher, tutor, instructor, parent or anyone who supports their learning, so all educators can meet the learning and instructional needs of the student. 

Action Plan

After students complete the assessment and have collaboratively shared their learning strategies with you, the next step is implementing these strategies. The implementation of strategies will be completed through the MINDSpeak Action module which can be found on the students main dashboard. On this page, there is also a SMART chat link where you and the student can continue to communicate with each other as the student completes each of their learning strategies.

After finishing the assessment, students will have the opportunity to implement one learning strategy at a time and reflect on its effectiveness to decide whether or not to continue using that strategy. The students will also continue to be rewarded for their efforts by receiving virtual coins they can spend in the virtual shop after they complete each strategy. If the student needs support at any given time as they are implementing the strategy, they can also reach out to you using the SMART chat link.

As each strategy is completed, an action plan report is created that will be shared with you similar to the learning plan so you can continue to monitor the students progress and support them as needed.
